LEARNING THOROUGHLY

  • To apply your intelligence to cope for a personal crisis, it is -for Köhler- perception of the relations between situations.  Ortega thinks that beliefs are a legacy over what is real. And  not all beliefs are true.

Now you need clarity. Ortega says: «Man is not his body, which is a thing, neither a soul, which is also a thing, a subtle thing; man it is not absolutly a thing, but a drama: his own life. And it is a drama, because human life it is about how a being that we call  I, that is our individual person and consists in a bunch of projects  to become, of aspirations, in a life program, fights for realization in strange element that we call circunstance».

  • I have not any psychology of Fight.
  • Psychology is for Carpintero «the science which explains the biography of life»…Maybe you have not needed to fight up to now. And it surprises me. Maybe life has run quite easily for you. It is your first hit of forge?
  • Yes, I think so. At least, ever before I have never suffered so much. Do not laugh at me. And do not consider me as  a person spoilt by Fortune. It has cost me quite a lot  to educate myself and to find a job, and independent living, but I have not suffer.
I have not experience in enduring.
  • Well, you are now starting to learn thoroughly. Séneca says that you do not learn at the school, but at Life.
