Lesson 11: A philosophy of the vital reason
Any evening, any season of the year, sipping a refreshing juice fruit, the teacher talks again to the pupil, to explain what some call vital project, whose root is found on the philosophy of the vital reason…
The philosophy of the vital reason is a way of thinking started in Spain at the beginning of the XX century by Unamuno and Ortega, followed all along the last century by Marías, and very recently prolonged by Carpintero under the form of Psychology of the vital rason.
This philosophy is based upon the exploration of personall life, this is understood as the radical reality as «what we do and what happens to us» and understanding philosophy as: «the formal movement which takes us out from doubt».
When Ortega defines «I am myself and my circunstance and if I do not save it, I do not save myself», and asserts «Do not say that fatality avoidS us from improving our life, because the beauty of life lies precisely not in a favourable or adverse destiny – as it is always destiny- but in the gentleness with which we face it and shape from its fatal nature a noble figure».
Personal crisis is not an illness, but the symptom of an adverse circunstance that is necessary to reabsorb.

REABSORB CIRCUMSTANCE IN ORDER TO COPE WITH A CRISIS
The philosophy of vital reason is a way of thinking started in Spain at the beginning of the XX century by Unamuno and Ortega, and followed all along the last century by Marías, and very recently by Carpintero in the form of psychology of vital reason.
This philosophy is based upon the exploration of the personal Life, understanding it as the radical reality, as «what we do and what happens to us» and understanding philosophy as: «the formal movement which brings to leave doubt».
When Ortega defines «I am myselft and my circunstance and if I do not save it, I will do not save myself», and he affirms:
«Do not say that fatality does not allow us to improve our life, because beauty of life is precisely not that fate may be in favour or against us – because it is always fate- but in the gentleness with which we face it and make from its fatal mater a noble figure».
Personal crisis, as such, it is not an illness, but the symptom of adverse circunstance, which it is neccesary to reabsorb.
